📚 I have had the opportunity to study the use of seaweed extracts as a soil conditioner and crop biostimulant. The two most widely used seaweed species in agriculture are Ascophyllum nodosum and Ecklonia maxima, and they offer different benefits depending on their application.

🌿Ascophyllum nodosum, commonly known as rockweed, contains high concentrations of cytokinins and gibberellins. These plant growth regulators directly stimulate vegetative growth, flowering, and fruit set in crops. Additionally, Ascophyllum nodosum extracts enhance crop tolerance to environmental stresses such as drought, salinity, and extreme temperatures. These benefits can help increase crop yield and quality, making it a popular choice among farmers and growers.

🌿Ecklonia maxima, a brown macroalgae, is another popular seaweed species used in agriculture. Its extracts are rich in natural auxins that promote root growth and development. The root system plays a crucial role in nutrient uptake, water absorption, and overall plant health.
